Partnering with Spark, GamerTech combined active heating, passive cooling and posture corrective technologies - enabling gamers to play better for longer.
Phase One of the project was to create a visual identity for the GamerTech brand. The aim was to look hand-crafted and convey a sense of urgency in the wordmark, with the icon combining a G and T to evoke the visual of a reticle.
Following in-depth research and insight gathering, we homed in on the areas that would make the biggest impact on the gaming experience - from comfort to endurance.
Every aspect of gamer wellness was taken into account, considering the needs before, during and after a session.
We began the product creation process by drawing up an innovation strategy, focussing on the key functional benefits and technologies that GamerTech would stand for in the long term.
To illustrate the plan, Spark created a gaming-style map with different zones to denote each technology.
We created fully-vetted technology, engineered as a result of quantitative and qualitative research within the gaming community, and built in collaboration with leading scientists from the worlds of sports injury and neuropathy.
The design phase brought together science, technology and style to equip elite Esports athletes and everyday gamers with the tools to elevate their gaming experience and protect their health.
After rigorous testing, over half of the lifestyle gamers on the panel indicated that they'd experienced a benefit from the wearable technologies.
